Why can't you stop thinking about him? Maybe...He's telling the truth

--- School time skip ---

You walked outside holding your books and bouncing your way to the bench, you sat down. You were just about to open your book
But...A snowball hit you dead in the face.

"What the hell?!" you screamed whipping off the snow smeared on your face. To cold hands came from behind and covered your (e/c) eyes, you gasped a little from the coldness.

“Peek-a-boo~" you shot around to see jack smiling at you.

“Hah okay jack you got me" you smiled back and stood up. Jack flew over the bench and took your books from you.

“Jack? Give my boo-" " I'm just carrying them for you princess, don't get that beautiful face all in a scrunch" he said playfully.

“Okay fine. Just don't drop them!" glaring up at him now flying in little circles. You started to walk and he flew beside you, to be honest the walk felt like forever...and you didn't mind that, no not one bit.

:; Pitch’s P.O.V;:

I stood behind a tree just watching her. I remember when she used to do that to me. I chuckled at the memory and sighed with a frown, she was talking to jack...Why was he so much more important? I was the one who made her feel human; I wonder if she even knows I'm here. That I've always been here, yet every time it’s always jack. Maybe I should just give up? No. I can’t not after all we had been through together...it’s a shame really, now because of jack when I touch her she only shudders and begins to breath heavily. This was his entire fault!!! If only I had stopped him...if only I had seen this coming!....

~ Flashback to 6 years ago~

(Still pitch’s P.O.V) I sat there on the edge of the hill waiting for her, my night-time rain had ended and I returned to my slumber of waiting for the sun to set once again...

Oh (y/n) could you not see I was madly in love with you...That I found your beauty first? I was too lost in thought to notice her sneaking up on me. Two small hands came around my eyes; I gasped a little to the surprise but was relieved it was only my dear friend...(Y/n)

“Peek-a-boo! Guess who!!” I could hear the excitement through her words; I turned around to greet her only to be tackled into a bear hug by the (h/c) haired girl. She was MY light, MY soul...My everything...

“Ah, (y/n) I see you made it here safely then?” I said in a soft tone. “Sure did!! But I only came to say ‘Hi’ mom doesn’t know I’m out of bed so early...So shhhh.” her smile grew wide as she placed a slender finger over her lips. What a naughty child she could be, if I were her...how do I put it?...Ugh never mind

“Alright, please be safe and stay warm. Its winter now” standing up and shoving her off in the direction of her small home.

“Okay, Okay I’m going. I’ll come back tomorrow! And I’ll make you some of those muffins you really love!” Her (e/c) eyes glowed bright.

“That sounds wonder, I look forward to your visits after a hard night” I smiled, which seem like the last time ever, but why? She was coming tomorrow Morning was she not? I don’t know, I had a bad feeling this maybe the last time...Before (y/n) could say her final goodbye; I embraced her as hard as I could, Letting my fake black sand flow through her hair and around her waist. My orange gold eyes softened, (y/n), (y/n), (y/n).... Please don’t leave please...ever since she helped me that day after being beaten by the guardians, she made me see that the world needs balance. When (y/n) saw me she wasn’t scared, yet curios. I let go of her fragile body and retracted my dust from her letting a painful sigh escape my gray lips, she knew what was wrong. I looked at (y/n) only to see her face brighter than mine, I didn’t even think it was possible for me to blush let alone...love...

“I have to go pitchy, I’ll be back though I promise” pitchy?! I blushed more; she must have noticed and giggled. I smiled and sent her off not wanting her to get in more trouble than she already will be.

“Bye!!”

“Good-Bye my dear (y/n)!” shouted from the hill as she skipped down and rolled around in the snow. How immature she could be but I didn’t mind, after all she is who she is and...I would never change that.



Same place same time, I waited for her about an hour before the sun had fully awoken a new day. Where could she be? She was never really this late...she promised...day after day I waited, same place same time. But (y/n) never came, my heart sunk. Was she hurt or even worse grown tired of me?!

“Please don’t let it be true...”

That's it! This is the last day I just sit and wait, if she will not come. I will come to her! Sneaking through the darkened forest leading myself to her house, but once I got there; she was not anywhere to be seen. The house was empty, nothing; her parents must have gone to work and her bed was made. Where could she be?

I decided to wonder through the forest until I stumbled upon the birth lake of that...That..!!!..Urgh! If only I could just kill him!! I looked around, I heard a faint giggle. It was cute and small....(Y/n)!!!! That was her! I would know it anywhere! I rushed as fast as I could towards the sound, but quickly retreated behind a small tree. Of course I had to use my sand to blend since the trees had no leaves.

What I saw would change my life forever...(y/n)...S-She was laughing and giggle, sharing that sweet smile with...with...J-Jack...My heart broke in two. Well that's what it felt like, a very sharp pain...so sharp I almost wanted to cry over such a petty thing, but to me it didn't seem petty...

" Hahah! Oh jack your so funny! Do it again" (y/n) giggled.

“Okay, Okay..." Jack said, the blush was completely visible on his pale face. That...that!! Something bubbled inside me...Was I...Jealous?

Jack raised his staff in the air and swirled it round and round making little trails of dazzling snow pixels.

“Whoa! Wow! Jackie! That's so cool!" she squeaked standing next to him, they got a little closer. My heart beat stopped at that moment and I knew what I had to do...he would not take away the only thing I had left!!

I raised my hand and my black sand crawled along the ground, jack must have noticed since he turned around and pushed (y/n) back behind him. What I'm guessing was for protection, I don't care how they met. But I'm going to make sure they never met again!

“(Y/n)!! Stay behind me!!" he yelled getting ready for me to appear.

“Jack...I believe you have something of mine" I stated coming out of my hiding with my nightmares following me.

" ....Pitch..." he breathed " What do you want?!"

" I only want, what is mine.." my voice was cold and stone like, I narrowed my eyes to him. I titled my head so I could see (y/n), what a pretty face. Jack raised his staff once more ready to attack and send me back down into my hole of darkness.

“Jack!! No!!" (y/n) came out from behind him and pushes his staff to face the ground. “You can't hurt him!!" she screamed in his face, I smirk.

"W-What?! (y/n) are you crazy?!" his expressions didn't know whether to be shocked or angry.

“No he's my friend!" she seemed angry, oh that's it...so she did still love me...my heart regained its pulse and began to beat faster.

“Pitchy...what are you doing here?" she questioned walking to me. "(Y-Y/n)!! Be careful! He's dangerous!" jack yelled with concern. I glared at him, he glared back. (y/n) pulled me into a hug which I gladly returned, she couldn't be with jack. I knew what I had to do, if I could not have her and if she was to choose him then...I must...let her forget. Then at least she would be safe from the truth...at least...tears welled up in my bright eyes....As quick as I could opened a dark worm whole leading into her bedroom.

“P-Pitch?" she turned her head to the whole." What are you--?!" a tear dripped down my face as I pushed her into the whole.

“(Y/N)!!!!!!!!" jack screamed running to the whole and trying to reach in to grab the small girl. But he was too late. I wore a frown as the love of my life would no longer remember our moments of passion. The last thing I saw was tears streaming down her face and her beautiful (h/c) flowing with her as she fell.

"PITCH!!!!! JAAAAACK!!!!AAAHHH!!!"
